A new Sorento is a very big deal for Kia.
True, the Stinger makes our hearts beat a little faster. Yes, the Forte GT's rorty exhaust will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Of course the Telluride SXL's classic SUV styling makes us all sit up and pay attention. Sure, the Seltos is a very hot seller, a clear No.1 in its category. And the Soul is most definitely a design icon.
But for Kia, the Sorento is the meat and potatoes, the heart of the batting order, the core element in Kia's two-decade-long Canadian success story.
As we approach the end of 2020, we approach the arrival of an all-new, fourth-generation Kia Sorento. It's an all-new 2021 model built on Kia's new N3 platform that's both stronger and lighter. There are two new engines, amazing in-cabin technology, new transmissions, advanced safety features, three rows of seating, standard all-wheel-drive, and six trim levels. [Learn more about the new Sorento here.]
One of those trim levels is the X-Line, a rugged Sorento model that elevates ride height, improves approach and departure angles, and includes a bridge-type roof rack. We know the X-Line is going to be a very popular choice because of its outstanding styling, its position in the middle of the lineup, and its inclusion of a turbocharged engine with 311 lb-ft of torque.
So we've chosen the 2021 Kia Sorento X-Line to show off each of the new Sorento's seven paint colour options: Pacific Blue, Runway Red, Aruba Stone, Everlasting Grey, Gravity Grey, Ebony Black, and Glacial White Pearl.
